Yashasvi Jaiswal is a young Indian cricketer who has taken the cricketing world by storm with his exceptional batting skills. Born on December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Uttar Pradesh, India, Jaiswal grew up in a humble background and faced numerous struggles early on in his life.

As a child, Jaiswal's family moved to Mumbai, where he began his cricketing journey. However, due to financial constraints, he had to sleep in a tent at the Muslim United Club's cricket ground in Mumbai for three years while honing his skills. Despite the hardships, Jaiswal was determined to make a name for himself in the cricketing world.

In 2015, Jaiswal caught the attention of former India cricketer and current Mumbai selector, Jatin Paranjpe, who took him under his wing and provided him with the necessary support and guidance. Jaiswal then joined the MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai, where he continued to work on his skills and hone his craft.

In 2019, Jaiswal made his List A debut for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he became the youngest player to score a double century in List A cricket. He scored an unbeaten 203 off just 154 balls in the match against Jharkhand, which included 12 fours and 17 sixes. This incredible innings brought him into the spotlight and made him an overnight sensation.

Jaiswal's performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy earned him a call-up to the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team. He made his first-class debut in the 2019-20 season, where he scored a century in his second match against Karnataka. Jaiswal's impressive performances in his debut season saw him finish as Mumbai's highest run-scorer in the Ranji Trophy, with 779 runs in just 7 matches at an average of 86.55, which included 3 centuries and 4 half-centuries.

In 2020, Jaiswal was a part of the Indian team that won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa. He played a crucial role in India's title-winning campaign, scoring four half-centuries and a century in six matches. He was also named the Player of the Tournament for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

Jaiswal's outstanding performances in domestic cricket and the Under-19 World Cup earned him a contract with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his debut for the Royals in the 2020 season and showed glimpses of his talent, scoring 88 runs in the six matches he played.

In the 2021 IPL season, Jaiswal was given more opportunities to showcase his skills and he did not disappoint. He scored his maiden IPL half-century in just his second match, where he scored 49-ball 50 against the Delhi Capitals. Jaiswal finished the season with 286 runs in 12 matches at an average of 23.83, which included two half-centuries.

Jaiswal's performances in the IPL earned him a call-up to the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour in 2021. He made his international debut in the first ODI against Sri Lanka, where he scored 49 runs off 62 balls, which included 5 fours and a six. Although India lost the match, Jaiswal impressed one and all with his batting skills.
